适用范围

This standard concerns the waste disposal of medical microbiological laboratories according to DIN 58956 part 1, where bacteriological, mycological, virological or parasitological examinations are made.; It includes the requirements regarding the classification of goods which are determined for waste disposal. Furthermore it covers requirements regarding the collection, transportation, storage and handling of garbage, sewage and air, measures for the desinfection of reutilisable objects which are contaminated or seem to be contaminated with propagating pathogenic/potential pathogenic microorganisms.; This standard does neither include measures for the cleaning and desinfection of facilities nor measures for the infection of persons.; The safety requirements shall prevent the propagation and spreading of microorganisms. By that it protects people, animals and the environment against infections.
