This International Standard specifies a dimethylglyoxime spec-trophotometric method for the determination of nickel in steel and cast iron. The method is applicable to nickel contents between 0,10 and 4 % (m/m). Cobalt, copper and manganese may cause interferences. (See the note to 7.3.2.)
