Gives guidance on the choice of voltage levels within Band I (IEC 449) for conductive parts that may be touched by human beings in various applications and environmental situations under both normal and fault conditions. Other than these values may be chosen, after it is shown by experience that an appropriate level of safety is achieved. The conventional touch voltage limit (IEC 50: Chapter 826) is not within the scope of this report. Annex A lists factors affecting voltage limits.
