- This Part of BS 2745 specifies particular requirements for washer-disinfectors intended to be used for washing and thermal disinfection of all goods except human-waste containers and laundry. Solvent drying systems are excluded from this standard. These requirements apply in addition to the general requirements specified in BS 2745 : Part 1 : 1993. Ventilation ducting is outside the scope of this Part of BS 2745, but as it is an essential part of a total system, guidance for the purchaser has been included in annex E of BS 2745 : Part 1 : 1993. NOTE. There are two broad categories of washer-disinfector. These are as follows: a) cabinet machines; b) continous process machines.
