- This SAE Recommended Practice applies to all trucks that are equipped with armlift bodies, carrier bodies, wheel lift bodies, wrecker, and underlift bodies. Additional rating methods are provided for tow slings, truck hitches, and chain assemblies. The purpose of this document is to establish guidelines for rating towing and recovery equipment and carriers. It is applicable to all towing and recovery equipment manufacturers.
