It is essential that products defined by European aerospace series standards (EN) conform with the
requirements of these standards, and that the quality of the products be consistently maintained. To this
effect, a qualification system, AECMA-CERT, for manufacturer and product is implemented. It is based upon:
- the approval of the manufacturer's quality system, as defined in this standard,
- the qualification of the standard product if required by the EN standards, as defined in EN 3042.
