All gears shall be deburred. Burrs visible under a lo-power magnification shall be cause
for rejection. Edges adjacent t o the contact surface of the teeth my be broken a wimum of 20 percent
of one divided by the diarretral pitch. Deburring of aluminum gears which will subsequently be
anodized shall be performed in such a manner that all external edges of the teeth shall be rounded t o
a minimum radius of 0.001 inch t o a r r s u < i m of 30 percent of the addendum unless some other provision
is mde t o avoid sharp edges on which the anodizing my peak.
