The standard is part of a new series of standards for actions on structures which are developed on the basis of related European Standards and which are suposed to replace or complete the existing series DIN 1055. This standard is in particular derived from DIN V ENV 1991-2-5, which are exposed to dayly and seasonal diveations of temperature. As far as possible thermal actions for the design of structures are given in terms of characteristic values. With the exception for chimneys and pipes thermal actions which are caused by the use of the structure are not dealt with.#,,#
