This CID covers the general requirements for variable, nonwire wound, wire wound, single turn, multi-turn and lead-screw actuated, with a contact bearing uniformly over the entire surface of the entire resistive element, when positioned by an actuator. These resistors are capable of full load operation at maximum temperatures, and are suitable for continuous operation when properly derated.
