This specification covers the general requirements for radiofrequency coils, fixed
and v a r i a b l e , f o r use as simple inductive elements i n radiofrequency circuits. Procurement of
c o i l s o f a specific design wil require additional data i n t h e form o f complementary Service
documents, g i v i n g d e t a i l e d e l e c t r i c a l and mechanical requirements, tolerances, and applicable
additions and exceptions to the general requirements and t e s t s s p e c i f i e d h e r e i n (see 3.1 and 3.3.1).
