This Korean Industrial Standard specifies polymethyl methacrylate sheets (hereafter, referred to as "sheets"). However, those for aircraft, protection from X-ray, and protection from gamma ray are excepted.
Remarks 1. The sheets involve, not only colorless transparent sheets but also sheets colored by pigment or dyestuff, sheets having coated or laminated surfaces, and laminated sheets.
2. The sheets mean those (') manufactured with cell cast and continuous cast or extrusion molding, of which both surfaces are practically plane, such as flat, dull, etc.
Note (') The manufactured sheets mean both cast sheets by bulk polymerization respectively containing at least 80% methyl methacrylate, and extrusion sheets consisting of molding materials (polymerized materials of at least 80% methyl methacrylate) specified in KS M 3152.
