This Korean Industrial Standard specifies the method for determining the transformation temperature(1) by differential scanning heat-quantity measuring of shape memory alloys(2).
Notes (1) The shape memory alloy herein means the Ti-Ni system shape memory alloys and Cu-Zn-AI system shape memory alloys having transformation temperature near room temperature. (2) The transformation temperature means the martensite transformation temperature and reverse transformation temperature.
Remarks 1. As to the method for determining the transformation temperature, there are electric resistance measurement and the like other than the differential scanning heat quantity measurement, but the numerical values according thereto and those according to differential scanning heat quantity measurement are not always coincide. 2. The transformation temperature to be measured according to this Standard is that in the state where solutionizing treatment is applied. The transformation temperature of material or element applied with shape memory treatment should preferably be measured in accordance with this Standard, as appropriate.
