This Korean Industrial Standard specifies electroplated coatings of tin-lead alloy(2) (hereafter referred to "coating") plated on the significant surface(1) of such base metal as iron or copper or its alloy for the purpose of improving solderability, electrical characteristics, and corrosion resistance of electrical and electronic appliances.

(2) The components of this coating are mainly tin, and lead from 5% to 50%.
