This standard regulates the drop test method of the freights packaged in the container, which is made of metal, wood, corrugated fiberboard, board, plastic or their combination. This standard consists of any single test to examine the effect of drop test or a part of the consecutive tests designed to measure the performance of freights packaging to endure the delivery system including the risk of drop test. Remarks 1. The unit and numerical value in { } among this standard is the one following the existing unit, which is described together for reference.
2. This method is proper to the freights test loaded by hand on vehicle, vessel, truck and etc.
3. The packaged freights that total weight is above 100kg and below 1000kg or the one in big volume shall follow 3.4(Drop Test)(2) of KS A 1026.
Also, the packaged freights that total weight is above 50kg and below 100kg shall follow 3.4(2) of KS A 1026 as per any presumed unloading method.
4. Drop test of kraft paper shall follow KS A 1015.
