This specification covers the requirements for three types of nylon tubing as used in the motor industry in assemblies for conveying air between tractors and trailers (or semi-trailers) to operate pneumatic braking systems.
NOTE
a) The titles of standards referred to by number in the specification are given in appendix A.
b) Requirements that must be specified by the purchaser are listed in appendix B.

d) The design of metal end fittings of an assembly should be such that the fittings so grip the nylon tubing as to withstand a pull of at least 900 N .
