The scope of this standard is to define terms of common usage in European Standards (ENs) on the subject of private telecommunication networks having ISDN capabilities in order to achieve consistency of interpretation between such standards. The definitions apply only to technical aspects of such private telecommunication networks.
NOTE 1: These definitions do not address legal or regulatory issues.
NOTE 2: Standard IEC 50 draft chapter 715 (International Electrotechnical Vocabulary) of the International Electrotechnical Commission has been used as the basis for the preparation of this standard. The suitability of other definitions of that document will be considered as a subject arises.
