This Pakistan Standard prescribes methods for the deter mination of the breaking load and extension of single yarns by the use of automatically controlled machines in which the applied load is steadily increased at a predetermined rate which shall be realized within two seconds of the commencement of the test. The drawing of load/elongation diagram can also be made by means of an auto graphic attachment to the testing machine.
