1.1 Part I of this Pakistan Standard prescribes the methods of evaluating the weight per unit length of a fabric from a specimen.
1.2 This method covers the requirements of test of specimen.
(a) In a state of relaxation in equilibrium with the atmosphere for testing as prescribed in Pakistan Standard PS 84 : 1960—Determination of Moisture Content in Textiles.
(b) With official regain i.e. after drying to constant weight at 105--110°C (221-230°F) and adding the official regain as prescribed in PS 84 : 1960.
1 3 This method also covers the determination of the weight per unit length of a fabric in bulk i.e. in the piece or cut.
