This Recommendation rel?tes to fixed capacitors with self-healing properties, for direct current, with a rated voltage not exceeding 6 300 V, containing a dielectric of impregnated paper and thin deposited metal electrodes, intended for use in equipment for telecommunication and in electronic devices em-ploying similar techniques.

Certain types of metallized paper capacitors will fulfil the requirements of IEC Publication 80, Fixed Capacitors for Direct Current Using Impregnated Paper or Paper, Plastic Film Dielectric.
