1.1 This standard specifies requirements, sampling and method of test for release of lead and cadmium by ceramic ware in contact with food.
1.2 This standard applies to ceramic ware such as plates and bowls including other utensils used in the preparation for serving of food such as spoons; these include ceramic ware made of china, crockery, porcelain, earthenware, whether glazed or not, enameled metal ware, glassware and glass ceramics.
