1.1 This standard specifies classes and types, shape, nominal voltages, capacities and dimensions, construction, requirements, packing, marking and labelling, sampling and criteria for conformity and testing for stationary lead acid storage batteries.
1.2 This standard covers only the stationary lead acid batteries of 2V per cell to be used as power source of telecommunication equipments, electrical machinery and apparatus, and emergency power sources.
