1.1 This standard specifies shapes, dimensions and tolerances, materials, manufacture, requirements, mark and lebel, sampling and criteria for conformity and tests for precast reinforced concrete piles.
1.2 This standard covers only precast reinforced concrete piles manufactured by placing concrete filling in the formwork into which a prefabricated cage of reinforcement has been inserted. These piles are intended for use mainly as compression piles and only at site where the water, if present, is fresh water.
