1.1 This standard specifies series, types and grades, dimensions and tolerances, components and manufacture, requirements, marking and labelling, sampling and criteria for conformity, and testing for copper alloy gate valves.
1.2 This standard is applicable only to copper alloy gate valves with nomi nal diameters (ON) 10, 15, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65 and 80 mm, and nominal pressures (PN) ratings of 1, 1.6, 2, 2.5 and 3.2 MPa; and at temperature ratings from -10°C up to 100°C <1>
NOTE. <1> The temperature and pressure ratings greater than these shall comply with Appendix A.
