This specification covers a concentrated alkaline liquid cleaning compound containing synthetic detergents and organic solvents, and that is intended for the cleaning of painted and unpainted surfaces, plastics surfaces, and the surfaces of equipment, walls and floors that are soiled with oil, grease and similar soils.
NOTE
a) The standards referred to in the specification are listed in appendix A.
b) Cleaning compound covered by this specification is not intended for the cleaning of carpets and fabrics.
c) As medium duty solvent detergents may contain solvents that are detrimental to health, it is recommended that these cleaning compounds be used in well ventilated areas and that prolonged breathing of the vapours and contact of the cleaning compound with the skin be avoided.
