1.1 The purpose of this specification is to establish a standard method of evaluating a side-hinged door leaf for its ability to resist a vertical load in a typical door frame application. This specification determines the ability of a side-hinged door system to remain operable following the application of a vertical load along the lock stile of the door leaf.
