This specification covers the requirements for a lead-free, chromate-free,
cadmium-free self-priming, polyurethane coating material. This low VOC (maximum of 420
gramdliter [dl])c oating may be used, where authorized,i n place of the standard epoxy
primer/polyurethane topcoat systems for the protection of metallic and non-metallic substrates.
This coating is suitable for both electrostatic and non-electrostatic spray applications (see6 .1).
