The following is being proposed:
The Third Edition of the Standard for Safety for Glass-Fiber-Reinforced Plastic
Underground Storage Tanks for Petroleum Products, Alcohols, and Alcohol-Gasoline
Mixtures, UL 1316, which includes: a) Clarification and identification of the pipe
connection requirements and revisions to the location requirements to give more latitude
on where the connections are located, 6) Revisions to the manway requirements to
clarify and identify the construction requirements for these components including the
gasket requirements, c) Addition of requirements for compartments, d) Revisions to the
striker plate requirements, e) Addition of requirements for optional tank accessories
and components that are permanently affixed to the tank, 4 Updates to standard
references due to the withdrawal and replacement of a standard, g) Revisions to
references to standard to not include the edition year, h) Editorial revisions.
