1.1 These requirements cover Types MC, MV, TC, SNM, and PLTC
cable, the construction of which restricts the flow of gas or
vapor through the cable to a level not exceeding 0.007 cubic foot
per hour (198 cm3/h) of air at a pressure of 6 inches (152 mm) of
water.
1.2 The cable covered by these requirements is not required to
be sealed under certain conditions of use in accordance with
Section 501-5(e)(2) of the National Electrical Code, NFPA
70-1987.
