This Publicly Available Specification(PAS)specifies requirements for filled collective fall arrest systems used to absorb kinetic energy of a falling person from a height not exceeding 2 m above the impact surface.
It includes a test method for dymanic performance and requirements for design,construction, instructions for use and maintenance,warning labels,quality control and conformity marking. It does not include installation requirements.
This PAS is applicable to filled collective fall arrest systems intended for installation on a firm surface and not suspended.
This PAS is not applicable to personal protective equipment against falls from a height.
This PAS is not applicable to comtaonment of falling defris.
