1.1 This test method is designed to determination the antimicrobial activity of new carpet materials and consists of three procedures:
1.1.1 A qualitative antibacterial assessment.
1.1.2 A qualitative antibacterial assessment.
1.1.3 A qualitative antifungal assessment.
1.2 This test method may also be used to evaluate the effect of a cleaning process(agree upon by the interested parties)on the antimicrobial resistance of carpets.
