This part of IS0 8859 defines a set of 185 graphic charactersidentified as the Latin/Greek alphabet, and specifies the codedrepresentation of each of these characters by means of a single8-bit byte. None of these characters are “non-spacing”.The use of control functions, such as BACKSPACE orCARRIAGE RETURN for the coded representation of compositecharacters is prohibited by IS0 8859.
