The provisions of this Standard apply to electrically operated single and multiple-station carbon monoxide(CO)alarming devices,hereafter referred to as devices,intended for protection in ordinary indoor residential areas.These areas include,but are not limited to,dwelling units,recreational vehicles and mobile homes,unconditioned areas,health care facilities,nursing homes,or other institutional residencies.The devices are not intended for industrial and commercial applications.
