适用范围

1.1 This Standard covers enamelled cast iron and enamelled steel plumbing fixtures and specifiesrequirements for materials, construction, performance, testing, and markings.1.2 This Standard covers the following plumbing fixtures:(a) bathtubs;(b) drinking fountains and water coolers;(c) lavatories;(d) shower bases; and(e) sinks:(i) kitchen and bar inks;(ii) laundry sinks;(iii) service sinks; and(iv) utility sinks.1.3 In this Standard, “shall” is used to express a requirement, i.e., a provision that the user is obliged to satisfyin order to comply with the standard; “should” is used to express a recommendation or that which isadvised but not required; “may” is used to express an option or that which is permissible within the limitsof the standard; and “can” is used to express possibility or capability. Notes accompanying clauses do notinclude requirements or alternative requirements; the purpose of a note accompanying a clause is toseparate from the text explanatory or informative material. Notes to tables and figures are considered partof the table or figure and may be written as requirements. Annexes are designated normative (mandatory)or informative (non-mandatory) to define their application.1.4SI units are the units of record in Canada. In this Standard, the yard/pound units are shown in parentheses.The values stated in each measurement system are equivalent in application; however, each system is to beused independently. Combining values from the two measurement systems can result in non-conformancewith this Standard.All references to gallons are to U.S. gallons.For information on the unit conversion criteria used in this Standard, see Annex A.
