This standard specifies the criteria to be used for the categorization and conformity assessment of pressure equipment (metallic and non-metallic) for use by the manufacturer, users, certification bodies and approved inspection authorities.
2 This standard is also applicable to the certification, re-certification, modification or repair of pressure equipment (metallic and non-metallic), as defined by the relevant statutory regulations for pressure equipment.
