This specification covers the requirements for two grades of mosaic flooring in the form of prefabricated panels that are made from fillets of certain species of wood (see 3.2) and are intended to be bonded (directly or over an interlayer) to a supporting base.
NOTE
a) The standards referred to in the specification are listed in Appendix A.
b) Requirements that must be specified by the purchaser are listed in Appendix B which also contains important information regarding preservative treatment.
c) Information regarding the verification of the quality of mosaic panels produced to this specification, and a sampling plan that could be used to assess compliance with the specification of a lot of the panels is given in Appendix C.
