This specification covers the requirements for the materials and make of jackets and three-quarter length and full length coats suitable for use by personnel employed in light industry and in the medical profession.
NOTE
a) The standards referred to in this specification are listed in appendix A.
b) Requirements that must be specified by the purchaser are listed in appendix B.
c) Guidelines on styles are given in appendix C.
d) Information regarding the verification of the quality of garments produced to this specification, and a sampling plan that could be used to assess compliance with the specification of a lot of the garments are given in appendix C.
e) Except under the standardization mark scheme, provision of material samples for testing (see 5.4) requires special agreement between the supplier and the purchaser.
