This specification covers the requirements for cheques with a
code line printed in magnetic ink to render them suitable for
automatic processing, and for the base paper used for such cheques.
NOTE
a) The standards referred to in the specification are listed in Appendix A.
b) Requirements that must be specified by the purchaser are listed in Appendix B.
c) Information regarding the verification of the quality of cheque paper and cheques produced to this specification and the sampling plan to be used to assess compliance with the specification of a lot of cheque paper is given in Appendix C. (The individuality of the printing on each cheque renders the inclusion of a sampling plan for the assessment of compliance of a lot of cheques impracticable.)
