This specification covers requirements for fabricated carbon steel pipework, pipes and fittings (such as bends, tees and manifolds) with welded-on flanges, of nominal bore size not exceeding 600 mm and for use at pressures of up to 4 MPa and at temperatures in the range -10 °C to +200 °C.

d) It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that flanged pipework of the specified material and method of fabrication is suitable for the fluid(s) which it is intended to convey.
