This standard covers requirements for the design, construction, inspection, ancillary equipment, testing and marking of all road vehicles of GVM equal to or exceeding 3 500 kg and portable tanks for the transport of dangerous goods as classified in SANS 10228, classes 2 to 9. NOTE Portable gas containers as defined in SANS 10019 are excluded.
