This part of the specification covers baths produced from acrylic sheet and reinforced with glass-reinforced polyester resin (GRP).
NOTE
a) The standards referred to in this part of the specification are listed in Appendix A.
b) Requirements that must be specified by the purchaser are listed in Appendix B.
c) Notes on points of importance to the supplier and to the installer in connection with the installation and fitting of baths are given in Appendix C.
d) Information regarding the verification of the quality of acrylic baths produced to this part of the specification, and a sampling plan that could be used to assess compliance with this part of the specification of a lot of acrylic baths, are given in Appendix D.
e) Except under the standardization mark scheme, arrangements for obtaining a suitable acrylic sheet sample for the tests given in 5.3-5.5 (see also 5.2) require special agreement between the manufacturer and the purchaser.
