This Standard deals with oil filters intended for the filtering of lubri-cating oil in internal combustion engines, in order to remove foreign matter from the oil and through which only part of the oil in the engine passes. This Standard also deals with the filtering elements of the filters.
This Standard includes detachable and non detachable filters.
