The document specifies the essential safety requirements for the construction, verification and marking of industrial trucks of group II conformity catergory 2 and 3 (see directive 94/9/EEC) including the load handling device, intended for use in areas where explosive atmosperes of gaz, vapour or mist may occur, defined in zone 1 and zone 2 respectively or of flammable gaz defined in zone 21 and zone 22 respectively.
