This Published Document describes a scheme which enables intruder and hold-up alarm systems to be installed and maintained in accordance with published European Standards, draft European Standards, and European Technical Specifications. Annex A to Annex D give supplementary provisions concerning aspects not included in those European Standards. Annex E gives recommendations for the application of prEN 50131-11).
The scheme described in this PD applies to intruder and hold-up alarm systems with wired interconnections and/or wire-free interconnections. However the scheme does not apply to exterior intruder alarm systems or exterior deterrent systems which are installed in accordance with BS 4737-4.3 and BS 7992 respectively.
