This Recommendation defines the management services and supporting functions for CNM. Where possible, reference is made to other Recommendations which define management services and functions. This Recommendation is intended to complement TMN specifications and provide a specification for the non-TMN environment. The relationship of this Recommendation to other Recommendations for CNM is presented in Recommendation X. 160. Definitions of management information for the currently defined CNM interfaces are in Recommendations X. 162 and X. 163. This Recommendation is applicable to provision of the CNM Service in the Public Data Network (PDN) environment. In future, this may extend to other network technologies. The specification contained in this Recommendation is written such that it may be developed to be generic to all network technologies where the requirement for CNM is identified.
