The ITU Radiocommunication Assembly considering that there are frequency bands allocated to the mobile-satellite service (MSS) on a shared co-primary basis with other space and terrestrial services;b)that sharing of both geostationary-satellite orbit (GSO) and non-GSO MSS systems with other services in shared spectrum allocations could be required and that the criteria and conditions for sharing between MSS and other services may be different for GSO and non-GSO MSS systems;c)that the development of sharing conditions for the MSS with respect to other services would allow for coexistence of new mobile-satellite services and existing services particularly in developing countries and may minimize the need to transfer existing assignments.
