- This Recommendation provides the guidelines for radio interface requirements of intelligent transport systems (ITS). ITS utilize a combination of technologies such as computers, telecommunications, positioning, and automation to improve the safety, management, efficiency, usability and environmental sustainability of terrestrial transportation systems.Technical and/or operational requirements for the various radio systems referred to in the Annex as options or examples are outside the scope of this Recommendation.
