Determination of deposition fluxes of ambient air pollutants - Determination of the deposition flux of atmospheric nitrogen oxides (NOy) using the IRMA method
This IRMA method is a sampling method which in conjunction with the subsequent defined analytical method for the samples obtained, is a complete measurement method. Deposition fluxes determined using the IRMA method can be utilised for a variety of purposes, e.g.: - ancillary examination into the causes of corrosion or outdoor weathering of working materials by atmospheric trace substances in accordance with VDI 3955 Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3; - establishing the atmospheric substances responsible for damaging various materials and determining the current hazards to which objects are exposed through the effects of atmospheric substances; - recording of regional and local climatic differences in the non-gravitational deposition of atmospheric trace substances and the seasonal or other fluctuations in their deposition; - use as part of an impact inventory.
