This guideline complements the existing guideline series VDI 4472 by providing the necessary knowledge useful for RFID technology introduction mainly in small and medium enterprises. Alongside a detailed investigation into the groups of costs incurred, the guideline gives a structured list of the individual effects on processes and the supply chain and discusses the respective consequences on the customer and finance levels.
