This Standard specifies the characteristics of parallel pins with internal thread of unhardened steel and austenitic stainless steel, and those of hardened steel and martensitic stainless steel with nominal diameters d1 from 6 mm to 50 mm inclusive. NOTE ：The International Standards corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows. ISO 8733-1997 Parallel pins with internal thread, of unhardened steel and austenitic stainless steel ISO 8735-1997 Parallel pins with internal thread, of hardened steel and martensitic stainless steel (overall evaluation ：MOD) In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standards and JIS are IDT (identical),MOD (modified),and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/IEC Guide 21-1.
