DS 452 is a Code of Practice for thermal insulation of technical service and supply systems in buildings. This code covers insulation of typical systems for heating, ventilation and water supplies, etc., and industrial processing systems. The minimum and maximum temperatures are -20 °C and 600 °C. The requirements and guidelines include planning, design, execution and supervision. The code specifies functional requirements, classification of general systems in relation to insulation against energy waste and guidelines for insulation against high surface temperatures, condensation, freezing and thermal protection of the medium.
